The KB Canham DLC 2 is an upgrade on the previous DLC 4x5 large format camera. In general, the DLC is a well-designed, super compact and extremely lightweight field camera. It is designed for versatility of use, easy portability and reliable build. It could be considered the dream large format field camera.
Some of the DLC's technical aspects include:
- Front rise of 63.5mm
- Front fall of 25.4mm
- Front shift of 9.5mm each direction
- Front swing and tilt - limited only by bellows
- Rear swing and tilt - limited only by bellows
- Rear shift of 34.9mm each direction
- Bellows draw of 53.3mm to 520.7mm
Improvements on the DLC 2 version include a stronger rear standard with embedded bubble levels and the various locking levers also now have stops to help prevent overtightening.
